Step 1 - Apply for NEXUS
You must first apply for the NEXUS program through the DHS Trusted Traveler Programs website. You will be asked to pay a $50 fee for a 5 year membership. You will also have to fill out questions regarding your background.
Note: NEXUS is a joint program between the U.S. and Canadian governments designed for travelers who frequently cross the U.S.-Canadian border.

After your application has been submitted, you will have to wait for conditional approval. Conditional approval means that you have been pre approved for the NEXUS program, but you need to schedule an interview to finalize your application.
The conditional approval process can take anywhere from 24 hours to multiple months, depending on the volume of applications, your background, etc.
Step 3 - Schedule Your NEXUS interview
Congratulations! You've been conditionally approved for NEXUS. The next step is to schedule your interview at Ogdensburg Enrollment Center (OGS).

Step 4 - Skip the NEXUS Interview wait time
You might notice that Ogdensburg Enrollment Center (OGS) is showing "No appointments available for this location", or the next appointment available is months out.
So what can you do?
NEXUS interview appointments are constantly cancelled, rescheduled, and added. This means that if you can monitor the interview slots, you can find an appointment that fits your schedule.

Directions: CANADA to Ogdensburg Enrollment Center: From Hwy 401 take Exit 721 for Hwy 16 South / Bridge to USA. Cross the Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge. Tell the Primary CBP Officer when you arrive that you have a NEXUS or a GLOBAL ENTRY appointment. You will be directed by the CBP Officer where to park. USA to Ogdensburg Enrollment Center: From NY Route 37 to NY Route 812 / Bridge to Canada. From the west, the NY 812 intersection is just beyond the Ogdensburg Walmart and a railroad crossing. From the east, the NY Route 812 intersection is just beyond the Riverview Correctional Facility and St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center. Advise the OBPA Tollbooth operator that you are going to the Port of Entry for a NEXUS or a GLOBAL ENTRY appointment. Upon departing the Tollbooth, you will see the south end of the POE canopy; please park there and follow the canopy north to the double-doors of the main building.
Notes: Please make sure you bring the following documents for your appointment: 1) A copy of proof that you have a NEXUS or GLOBAL ENTRY appointment 2) Proof of citizenship (passport, birth certificate, enhanced drivers license, naturalization documents) 3) Proof of employment (pay stub, employer's ID) 4) Any documents used in your NEXUS application **If you have a criminal record and/or a Canadian pardon, bring ALL court documents and pardon paperwork.
